My dream when I was started veterinary study I wanted to work in a clinic veterinary because is what I knew about does veterinarians do and as I like the animals and relationship with them.. I want to see them fine. But whit the years I thinking about my economic future and where are most possible have a good job in the public health veterinary where you work from the point of view of the surveillance, prevention and control of diseases shared between humans and animals.
I would like job in any company or institution that required research and programs on disease control. maybe here in Chile or in Argentina i dont know still, maybe there is more opportunity here than in argentina or maybe not, i like Argentina because are in my relatives and friends of a lifetime. well I would like work with somebody of my classmate, why not? but if is not possible want with someone who is nice and efficientt in own work. Although surely with a team or a staff. I think that I be happy because in this area of studies must travel a lot, research and is diferent of a clinic vet and give me the feeling a important professional. Really I want to do eradicate some virus and prevent new emergence of this virus and be recognized for that achievement. well about the amount of hours I would like to work a 6 or 8 hours per day about 40 hours per week... I would like free time for my family and dont succumb to the stress, although I know that can be difficult and maybe take me more time that I thought.. but now I think I will this, and so be successful.

   The first website is a site you can download free books.In the left side are all the topics related to the book that you want to search. Or you can find the name book in the top of the page in “search”. This site have chat and links of the interest veterinary also you can subscribe to receive updates of the page. I visit this page every time I need a book, about once a week. And I like this web site because saves me whenever I need information!!
   The second website: here you can read diseases of different subjects and updates of science veterinary doing click in the list of the rigt side in “temas” or below in “etiquetas”. I visit this page only sometimes. This sites result interesting for know and understand some diseases and the new updates too. The third website: well this site is about Veterinary Public Health. This page have activities as congress, links associated whit item, you can register for more information and within the site is a page call “ memorias” it’s to see the slides of the topics treat in the various conferences. I like because I see the various topics covered in this area. I go to this page when I have time because I will want to work with something related to this in the future.

Well I choosed this career because I’ve always loved animals, the biology and medicine. Initially wanted make the orientation of small animals but with the time I analyzing the area of job of veterinary I see that this area is very exploited.
The animals live with us are important in our society such in affection as in health. Therefore I considering be veterinary for use this knowledge and resources with the objective of protect and get better the human health.
I started the career in Argentina, I was good but I had to change for "family transfer" at this country, so here I am, it’s a hard career but I like it and is associates with I want to do. I hope some day be a good veterinarian.

-Examine animals to detect and determine the nature of the diseases, disorders or injuries.
-Perform diagnostic tests such as x-rays, blood samples and ultrasound, and interpret the results.
-Treat injured or sick animals, for example: Prescribing and administering medication, placing bones,healing wounds, or administer anesthesia and perform surgery.
-Perform routine medical tests and reviews,and inoculate animals against various diseases
such as rabies and distemper.
-Advise animal owners regarding sanitary measures ,feeding and general care necessary to improve the health of animals.
-Educate the public, for example on diseases transmissible from animals to humans.
-Train and supervise workers who handle and care for animals.
-Check standards of hygiene and care in the animal enclosures, for example, farms, zoos,
kennels, riding stables, pet shops,livestock markets, animal shows and sporting events.
-Maintain records and provide reports and certificates in accordance with this legislation.
-Manage financial practices, marketing and recruitment.
-Conduct research on animal health and related areas
